Woman Allegedly Helped Students Deface Private Property

A woman in the Dallas area was indicted by a grand jury on one count of felony criminal mischief last Wednesday.

The incident happened in late July of last year. Authorities allege that Tara Mauney and a group of intermediate school children trashed private property in the city of Colleyville. It is said that they littered the trees with toilet paper, placed raw chicken in a mailbox and scrawled profane language on the walls and driveway of the home with markers and mustard.

Mauney insists that she is innocent. Her legal counsel said the grand jury refused to listen to her testimony. If convicted, she faces up to $10,000 in fines and a maximum two years in prison.
