A Shared Wi-Fi Password Led to Child Porn Mix-Up

A case of mistaken identity nearly landed a New Caney man in jail.

On Wednesday morning, police in Montgomery County stormed Nickolas Markeson’s home and arrested him on child pornography charges. The officers revealed that an investigation had traced illegal sexual content to Markeson’s wireless network, but he insisted that he knew nothing about the illicit content. It was then that an idea popped into his head; he had shared his Wi-Fi password with his neighbor Jeremy Edwards.

It is said that the officers found nude images of young children when they searched Edwards’ personal computer. He is in custody on $90,000 bail.
