Man Accused of Breaking Into Houston Hotel Rooms

The police have arrested a man who is accused of breaking into Houston-area hotel rooms without needing a room key.

The crimes took place at least three times in September at hotels in the Galleria area. Matthew Allen Cook allegedly broke into each room by using a device to fool the card readers. He got away with jewelry and several laptops. According to experts, the device that Cook purportedly used is a new type of hacking technology that was featured at a technology showcase earlier this year.
