Mom Charged for Abandoning Daughter at Department Store

A Houston woman was arrested on Saturday for leaving one of her four children behind at a department store.

Carmen Hernandez Sierra, 31, was officially charged with child abandonment with intent to return.

The store associates said they found the four-year-old wandering by herself. They attempted to find the little girl’s parents, but were unsuccessful.

When the child’s mother returned, she explained that she realized her daughter was missing after she got home. Sierra’s bail was set at $2,000.
