Homeless Man Brings Gun to Courthouse

A 30-year-old homeless man brought a gun to Harris County Criminal Courthouse so they would arrest him and take him to jail.

The homeless man, Jason Tanner, told officials he wanted to to be arrested and that he considered building a fake bomb.   Instead, he carried a .45-caliber pistol in his waistband and filled his pockets with bullets.

According to Deputy Cheif J.C. Mosier, the homeless man walked up to a deputy and told him he was carrying a gun and needed to be arrested.

“He’s kind of a rowdy character but not a super bad guy,” Mosier said about the suspect.
